Here are two bible reading plans you should try if you're want read the Bible more while keeping you engaged.
St. Joseph Bible Reading Plan
The first is a bit intense if you're up for a challenge.
The St. Joseph Bible Reading Plan is more of a system where you read 7 chapters from 7 different sections of the Bible.
NT Gospels & Acts
NT Letters
Pentateuch
History & Novellas
Psalms
Wisdom
Prophets
So on Day 1 you read: Matthew 1, Romans 1, Genesis 1, Joshua 1, Psalm 1, Job 1, Isaiah 1
Each day you just read the next chapter of each section.
When you finish one book go to the next book on the list.
When you finish the last book on a list just start again at the top.
Since each list finishes at different times you'll never have the same readings each day.
In one year you'll have read the Gospels & Acts three times, and the rest of the New Testament and much of the Old Testament twice.
Below you can download the bookmarks for your bible to keep track.
St. Teresa Bible Reading Plan
The second plan is an easier two-year bible reading plan where you will go through the Old Testament once over the course of the two years, the New Testament twice a year, and the Psalms every 60 days.
The order of the New Testament is chronological written order, that is to say the order in which scholars think they were written, while the Old Testament is reverse chronological written order.
Below you can find the entire reading plan with dates. Though you can start at any time, this plan envisions that you read Year 1 in odd numbered years (such as 2023) and Year 2 in even numbered years (such as 2024).
