I, (your name), who through the tender mercy of the Eternal Father was privileged to be baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus and thus to share in the dignity of his divine Sonship, wish now in the presence of this same loving Father, his only-begotten Son, and the Spirit of love and truth, to renew in all sincerity the promises I solemnly made at the time of my holy Baptism.
I, therefore, now do once again renounce Satan;
I renounce all his works;
I renounce all his empty promises.
I believe in God, the Father almighty, Creator of heaven and earth, and in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died and was buried; he descended into hell; on the third day he rose again from the dead; he ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of God the Father almighty; from there he will come to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and life everlasting.
This is our faith. This is the faith of the Church.
We are proud to profess it in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Amen.
Having been buried with Christ unto death and raised up with him unto a new life, I promise to live righteously for him who died for love of me, serving God in all that I do, faithfully in the Holy Catholic Church.
At the Savior’s command and formed by divine teaching, I dare to say:
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come; thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.
+May almighty God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ who has given us new birth by water and the Holy Spirit, and bestowed on us forgiveness of our sins, keep us by his grace, in Christ Jesus our Lord, for eternal life. Amen.
